Teacher's Banquet

Mary Jean, Thank you so much for everything. We could not have been happier. Rave reviews on the meal. We only had a little lasagna left. I heard someone refer to the cheesy tortellini as mac & cheese on crack!! I think that was a compliment! It was all delicious and helped make it a wonderful night. My husband has already said that we will never do our own food when his family comes to visit.

I would highly recommend Mary Jean and her crew for anyone, any time, any place. I talked to several different caters and even had a taste testing with one other one. It is apparent that good food can be found anywhere but good people are far and few between. I knew from the initial phone call that Mary Jean was the one I was going to use as she immediately put me at ease. You could not find a more accommodating, friendly and caring individual to meet your needs. The taste testing was wonderful and it was really hard to pick and choose, everything was delicious. I could not have asked for more. Mary Jean went well above and beyond any expectations I had about the reception dinner. The food was marvelous but it is Mary Jean herself that impressed me above all else. I will definitely recommend her to anyone.

District All State Band

Mary Jean Hays and Affordable Events catered a school function for 35

  educators that were judging students for the Georgia All State Band.

  The breakfast and lunch spread was VERY fresh. Mary Jean Hays is the

  type of person you want to work with. She goes out of her way to make

  the event great and is very reasonable and affordable. Hence the name

  of the company!!

Thanksgiving

I am tasked with coordinating Holiday meals for the employees in the Tower. Last year we called several catering companies for quotes for our Holiday meals we found many of them were over - priced and did not provide enough to meet our needs until we called Affordable Events. I had the pleasure of talking with MJ; she gave us a great price that met our budget. MJ delivered our meal in insulated bag warmers so our food stayed hot which in our line of work is very important because, if we are very busy it could be several hours before we are able to take lunch breaks. The meal was great everything from the Turkey, Green Beans, Broccoli Casserole etc.. All of our employees loved the food so much that I was ask to use Affordable Events for this year's Thanksgiving Dinner. I am sure that

Affordable Events will be our caterer for all of our future events!

Thanksgiving

I would like to say the meal was delicious. A very well prepared Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings. Turkey, ham, dressing, mac and cheese, beans and a wonderful sweet potato pie. We enjoyed the meal and surely will use Affordable Events in the future. And I forgot to mention the apple,pear, cranberry crisp was heavenly. Thank you and Happy Holidays.

We hired Affordable Events Catering for our wedding reception. The food tasted awesome and the presentation was beautiful. Everyone commented on how good the food tasted and looked! The service people were also very friendly!

We at Cape received excellent service from Affordable Events & My Catering at our Financial conference in September 2009. AE & My Catering had a very supportive staff and were very consciencious of our need for minimal noise. On top of that, the food was very good. I recommend AE & My Catering for any gathering whether it be family or business oriented.

Fantastic Food

Food was fantastic, portions were generous, display was very attractive. Guests complimented the food all night. Priced several other caterers and none were even close for the selection. One quote offered meatloaf and fried chicken and still was considerably more. All left overs were packaged and ready to go at end of reception along with a "To Go Bag" for the bride and groom to take with them. I would happily use this vendor again and whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic 90th Birthday Celebration

What a fantastic job Affordable Events & My Catering did for our mother’s 90th Birthday Celebration.   Our mother loved everything about it! he variety of food was not only delicious, but also very affordable.   The presentation of the food was outstanding with Mary Jean’s special decorative touch.   We were impressed with the professional job that Mary Jean and her staff did to make this such a memorable event.
